Barbara De Noon

Barbara is a long time Ojai resident. She has a Masters in Social Work (MSW, ACSW) and is very active in our Ojai community. Barbara serves as a Commissioner on the Parks and Recreation Commission and was the Chairperson of the committee that worked for over 7 years to bring a skateboard park to Ojai.  Barbara also started a pet therapy program for senior citizens in Ojai almost 30 years ago, and it is still going strong. The committee takes kittens and puppies from the Humane Society each week to the various convalescent homes to help cheer and heal the elderly.

Barbara is currently offering a writing class weekly on Thursdays from 10-12:00 at Little House. All ages are welcome. Topics include poetry, novels, short stories, diaries or any other writing project you have in progress. The class members all participate in giving feedback and support.

Betty McAllister

Betty was born in Oxnard, California and has been a resident of Ojai since 1959. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Immaculate Heart College and a California Teaching Credential.  She is married to Joe McAllister, a CPA in Ojai and has three children, Patrick, Steven and Meagan. Betty is on the city of Ojai's Preservation Commission and is on the Board of Trustees of the Ojai Valley Museum.

Betty is offering a walking tour of historic downtown Ojai.  Tours can be tailored for grade school through high school classes, community service or senior citizen's groups.

Marty Babayco

As a parent or teenager have you found yourself sailing on uncharted and often dangerous waters without the aid of tools, instructions or basic maps? Dr. Babayco has spent 15 years as a speaker and workshop facilitator in this field. His emphasis is to empower parents to develop positive parenting skills, to instruct high school students in becoming effective parents, and to provide parents with information and help in serving the needs of exceptional children.

Tony Gwillian

Registered Architect, M.Sc., Ecological Designer.
 
Dedicated to doing more with less, An author and much sought-after speaker, Tony worked with Buckminster Fuller and is now fully immersed in the design of ecological community.
 
Tony is willing to share his vast experience in the creation and design of simple  teahouse structures, the art of Buckminster Fuller and the creation of the "global village", the place where we live in the new paradigm
