Out of an Oklahoma bombing came the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, an Ojai based program to train dogs and handlers in the art of finding people in collapsed buildings. Learn what it takes to train each dog pair - dog and trainer - and how you can raise a Disaster puppy.

Become involved in promoting youth communication by helping to create a Web page for kids. By implementing part of the youth Master Plan, across-generational team will create chat rooms, bulletin boards and page links that wil provide youth, and their parents, with fun and revelant information and up-dates on activities of interest.

Sea Life will be explored through the eyes of a teacher and owner of an marine faacility. Students will discove the exciting world of science through the fascinating classes that teach about marine life, including the newly discovered blood sucking vampire fish.

Journey back in time with 4th-generation Ojai Historian to discover the origins, hardships and triumphs of coloeful pioneer famalies. Slide/music presentations vary to accomodate different audiences. Programs on Ireland and Germany too!

Are you, Mr. & Mrs. Jones, ready for kindergarten? Discover what it feels like to view the world as a little person. See for yourself how strange letters and new faces can be confusing and frightening. By attending this workshop, you will learn simple and fun activities that will prepare your child for school.

A Ventura County trial lawyer will help high school students better understand the legal ramifications of their actions before it's too late. Questionss like "I I get pregnant, who supports the baby? Do I have to pay alimony if I break up with my live-in girl friend? What are my visitation rights if we have children. How does custody work?" will be addressed.

Human Relations
Helping Others can be very rewarding if you know what to do. A Youth Disaster Team will be formed and trained by a phychologist and past chairman of the local Red Cross chapter. Disaster is chaos, and he will show how to develop a system out of the chaos to serve the community BEFORE the service is needed.

A two-fold program; 1. Through a quarterly column in the Ojai Valley News a professional writer, editor and agent will inspire others to record their stories through the art of writing. 2. Lectures to groups on the mechanics of writing and getting published.

A visual portrait of a community - its people, its landscape - will be the result of "A Day In The Life of Ojai." By organizing and directing one hundred people, this world-class photographer will orchestrate a twenty-four hour photo shoot and community exhibit to capture the essence of life in our valley.
