Patricia Clark-Doerner

BIOGRAPHY:

Patricia Clark- Doerner, author of The Judge: William P. Clark, Ronald Reagan's Top Hand is a 4th generation Ojai rancher, writer, historian, and community activist. Doerner raised four children before graduating summa cum laude from the University of California at Santa Barbara, earning an honors graduate degree from University College Dublin, Ireland, the top award in non-fiction writing at the Santa Barbara Writers Conference, and teaching at UCSB and Cal State Northridge.

She has two books in process: "Montana Justice" and "An Ojai Romance." Local history publications include: "The Sheriffs of Ventura County," and protrait of A Sheriff." Multi-media productions include: "Love Letters from the Past; "From Emerald Isle to Gold Coast"; "Grosse Isle: The Isle of Irish Sorrows"; "The Great Irish Rebellion of 1798: the Story, the Songs, the Poetry"; "The Cemeteries of San Buenaventura: A Matter of Grave Concern."

She serves as Vice President of the American Irish Historical Society, California branch; Chair, Ojai Historic Preservation Commission; and on the Advisory Board of the Santa Cruz Island Foundation.

She and husband Richard live on Rancho del Cielo in Ojai, California.
